Tales of Crestoria Smartphone Game Gets English Release

posted on by Crystalyn Hodgkins
Game to launch in 2019

Bandai Namco Entertainment opened a Twitter account on Saturday to reveal that it will release the Tales of Crestoria smartphone game in English. The Twitter account is also streaming a video. The game will launch in English in 2019, and is also slated to launch in Japan in 2019.

A Tales of franchise 23rd anniversary livestream on Saturday also revealed a new key visual by Wit Studio for the game. Bandai Namco Entertainment will reveal more details about the game during a livestream on December 14.

The theme of the game is "sin," and the main character burdened with sin lives in order to protect someone precious to him. Yasutaka Nakata and Kamikaze Douga are in charge of the main character visuals and several concept videos for the game. Tomomi Tagawa is serving as producer.

In the story, people possess personal devices called "Vision Orbs" that are able to take videos and influence perception. The game portrays a world where a video from a single person's point of view can have a large influence on people's views.

The game will be free to play, but some items will be available for purchase. Pre-registration is available now in Japan, and all players will receive in-game bonuses depending on the number of pre-registrations.
