Akiba's Beat PS4/Vita RPG Delayed to Winter in Japan
posted on by Rafael Antonio Pineda
The official website for Acquire's Akiba's Beat PlayStation 4 and PlayStation Vita game announced on Tuesday that Acquire has delayed the game's Japanese release date to winter. The game was originally slated for fall.
XSEED Games had announced in June that it would release Akiba's Beat this winter in English on PlayStation 4 and PlayStation Vita. The publisher began streaming a new character trailer last Thursday to introduce the character Saki Hoshino (voiced by Azusa Tadokoro), with English text for the game. The company has not stated whether its English release has also been delayed.
Kōta Takano is directing the game. ClariS is performing the game's theme song "again."
First print editions in Japan will come with production materials, a soundtrack CD with all seven characters songs, and a download code for white idol outfits for all seven main characters.
The game is a successor to the Akiba's Trip series of games, but is the first "action RPG" in the series.
