AVCon 2011 AMV Competition Rules Released

Adelaide's anime and video games convention AVCon has released the rules for the its anime music video (AMV) competitions.
The AVCon 2011 Anime Music Video Competition will present awards for the best Action and/or Upbeat, Drama and/or Romance, and Comedy and/or Trailer AMVs, and a special Aussie Award for the best video made in Australia. Entries will be screened during the convention and a Fan Favourite award will be presented based on voting slips randomly distributed amongst the audience. The deadline for entries to this competition is 13th of July.
The AVCon 2011 AMV Iron Editor Competition will start on the Saturday of the convention, July 23rd, but contestants must pre-register before July the 3rd. Contestants will receive source material by mail, then must attend the convention on Saturday July the 23rd to receive a 'Secret Source', which they must include with the previously-obtained sources to create an AMV to hand in before the Iron Judging Panel the following day.
AVCon 2011 will be held from July 22nd to July 24th at the Adelaide Convention Centre.
