Nice but I’m getting a little tired of Kenjiro Tsuda. He seems to be in everything these days

He is?! I must be missing a lot of shows then. He's usually not the protaginst though, as opposed to TusdaKen.

Both are great, so I'm fine with it anyway Smile

So is this a retelling of the original story or entirely new material? I often can't tell from reading the articles on this site. It's like the story on the upcoming Fruits Basket movie. The article said it was a "compilation" film, but it really appears to be a prequel about Tohru's parents. (Creating a "compilation" film from a series with fifty episodes would be quite a feat.)

I associate the voice with Roku (the old grumpy cat) from Dōkyonin wa Hiza, Tokidoki, Atama no Ue aka My Roommate Is a Cat.

It's a new adaptation of the manga with new staff

And off topic but the fruits basket article was accurate, Funimation also reported that it would be a recap on top of having the prequel and epilogue

Yeah, I feel like they're riding the Tsuda hype train right now, which is what spurred this recasting.

I will never get tired of one of my GOAT's getting more roles. He's had a huge role increase since 2014 and the hype train never stopped. Happy for him.

Voice Actor fatigue is a big problem for both Dubs and Subs, In Japan, VA with the most experience get the most request for new roles therefore younger VA have a hard time getting roles. On the flip side there are only a handful of Studios in America that handle English dubs, and most of them are located in Texas. The only time an English Dub happens in NY or CA is if its either a big production like a Ghibli Movie or small like a Media Blasters or Discotek series.

Voice fatigue is why all five Quintessential Quintuplets were not done by one seiyuu, even though it allows the viewer to tell who the Quint is even when Futaro cannot.

Good reason to pass that movie by. It took SHAFT two movies to repackage the twelve-episode Madoka series. FB has fifty episodes to compress, and they're going to add in additional material? Pass.
